Presents

"Why Am I Not Married"

A show about the perspectives of men and women on relationships

The highly anticipated play based on the book

Becoming the Man I Want. Why am I not married, written by Chantell D. Christopher

BECOMING THE MAN I WANT is the relatable story of a “fairytale” romance that disappears when reality sets in. The couple quickly discovers that when they discuss their plans, values, hopes and dreams, they are speaking in two different languages. BECOMING THE MAN I WANT explores the good, the bad, and the UGLY in a relationship, while finding a cause and solution to the MADNESS!

Chantell D. Christopher started her Acting Studio in October 2008 with a leased space and no students. What she did have was a dream and a desire to share her gift. While noticing that the number of acting projects being filmed in Atlanta was increasing, she quickly learned that there was a need for teaching the techniques of acting. She realized that she wanted to share her gift with inexperienced actors. She had no clue of how she was going go do it but, she knew that if she had faith the size of a mustard seed, God would move mountains. And it was time to move some mountains!"

Chantell had the honor of touring with Tyler Perry for over 12 years. She was casted in eight of his productions, some including; Madea Goes To Jail, Madea's Class Reunion and What's Done In The Dark. Her experiences have taught her to walk by Faith. It is something that she lives by everyday and has been able to share with her Acting Ensemble. On the first day of rehearsal a student asked; "Where are we going with this piece?"  Chantell replied; "I do not know. I am just excited about how God is going to show up and show out!” Every week Chantell honestly tells her ensemble that she has no clue of how this production is going to turn out. But, she does know that after every rehearsal she is blown away by how God puts it all in order.
